Organic - when to vs. when not to - money/health debate

If your only interest in organic is for its health value, then Consumer Reports has a quick list of which products you should dig deep into your pockets for:

    Apples, bell peppers, celery, cherries, imported grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, potatoes, red raspberries, spinach, and strawberries.


For all other fruits and vegetables, it doesn't make much sense. For example with Bananas there is hardly any pesticide residual on the fruit so it doesn't make a huge difference whether you buy or organic or not.

Organic = Marketing

Most people probably don't know what the word means. Without pesticides we would not have enough food to eat...
